THIS makes me wish I was going to SDCC

I don’t wish I was going to San Diego Comic-Con (I have a natural aversion to large crowds of grown people acting like children. P.S. Get off my lawn.), but this t-shirt by the The National Cartoonists Society makes me wish I was there so I could buy one. Features artwork by Bill Amend, Sergio […]

Another great “Learn to Draw” from The Doozies creator Tom Gammill who emcee’d this year’s Reuben Awards ceremonies. The segment where Tom and Jeannie Schulz get hitched is hilarious.

Reuben Awards weekend 2014 wrap up

This year’s Reubens Award Weekend was held in the spectacular San Diego California. It was only my third NCS weekend, so I’m not the best barometer for attendance. Congratulations to all of the Reuben Awards winners

This last weekend was the National Cartoonists Society’s annual Reuben Awards weekend. It was a fabulous event. I’ll post a write-up here shortly. But as fun as the weekend was, the reason we were all there was to find out who were the big winners. Without further delay, below are the winners of the division […]

Reuben award weekend predictions

I’m off to San Diego for Reuben awards weekend. I stopped long ago trying to guess who would win the Reuben and the division awards. But Tom Heintjes posts his predicts each year. I should look them up (and anyone else) and see who’s got the clearest crystal ball. For the top prize, Tom says […]

Video: Jason Chatfield’s opening act at the Reuben Awards

I’ve noticed a trend. Attendees of the Reuben Awards are awesome at sharing photos of all the goings on, but are sharing them through Facebook – some of which aren’t publicly available. But a few are being posted on open blogs. Be sure to check out Mike Lynch’s blog with photos including the drawings on […]
