Jen Sorensen Accepts NPF Berryman Award

As was reported the National Press Foundation (NPF) awarded Jen Sorensen

the 2023 Clifford K. and James T. Berryman Award for Editorial Cartoons.

Her four-panel approach has criticized how society worships wealthy people with “big” ideas, satirized the doubling of “frontover” deaths as vehicle height increases, and explored the evolution of Twitter, from the early years of random thoughts to a take on what “X” has become.

Sorensen accepted the award at NPF’s annual awards dinner Feb. 15, 2024, in Washington, D.C.

The NPF celebrates Jen’s win and presents a video of her acceptance speech at the dinner.

hat tip to Comics DC for the notice about the awards dinner

  1. I remember seeing Jen Sorensen’s work in Action Girl comics in the 90’s. It’s pretty great to see her all established now and getting recognition.

  2. We’ve been folloowing her work in Funny Times for many years. Glad to see her receive this recognition.
