According to the AAEC web site, Jeff Darcy, editorial cartoonist for the Plain Dealer in Cleveland, Ohio, will resume his duties at the paper sometime in 2007 after suffering a stroke in early November of this year.
He quips:
“This means that from now on I can only draw cartoons on the right,” he quipped in an e-mail. “My doctors say that since most editorial cartoons already look like they were drawn by stroke sufferers this shouldn’t affect my ability to continue on with my job.”
“Being only 43 I thought I would blow a brain gasket twenty years from now when I was doing editorial cartoons and a comic strip!” he added.
