William Messner-Loebs is probably best known for writing DC superhero comic books from the late 1980s to the 1990s. I enjoyed his and Sam Kieth’s contemporaneous Epicurus the Sage comics and his earlier cartooning of the adventures of Wolverine MacAlistaire.
For a couple years he scripted the Batman comic strip.
