Congratulations Ann! What great news! Well-deserved indeed!
I don’t know Ann, but I have respect for her having worked as an editorial cartoonist. I had the opportunity of talking with Michael Ramirez at the Fischetti awards a few years ago. I hope to meet and sometime, too.
Great way to celebrate International Women’s Day. The comments by the judges are spot on. The scope and creativity of her work is well beyond anyone else in the field today.
“The Insurrectionists Roll Call” is arguably Telnaes’s greatest piece ever. It’s such a profound work of art.
