Mark Trail celebrates 60 years

The comic feature Mark Trail is celebrating 60 years in the funny pages. Mark Trail was created by Ed Dodd in 1946 and turned over to Jack Elrod since 1978 according to King Feature’s web site. The Northeast Georgia History Center is planning a special program to honor Ed (was from Gainesville and died there in 1991). The program will feature a local artist James Allen and have activities for children ages 7-12.
