Dear Mr. Pastis.

I know that the title,” Pearls Before Swine ”
comes from a famous piece of literary work, but for the life of me, I cannot think of it.

Would you be so kind as to where it originated and how it inspired you to use it?

Thanking you in advance, I am sincerely,

Letizia Lopiccolo a.k.a. ” Joy “

The famous literary work you can’t remember is the Bible.

Mathew 7:6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.

Maybe here:
Matthew 7:6 – “Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.”
