Chad Carpenter wins Newspaper Panel Award

This year’s Newspaper Panel division award has been given to Chad Carpenter who draws the self-syndicated comic panel Tundra. Chad’s feature is one of the most successful self-syndicated strips in newspapers appear in over 200 papers in North America.

Bill Schorr wins Editorial Cartoons Award

Bil Schorr was honored with this year’s NCS Division award in the category of Editorial Cartoons.“I’d like to thank Mike Ramirez for leaving one award for the rest of us,” Bill joked as he received the award.

Sandra Boynton wins Book Illustration Award

This year’s NCS divison award for Book Illustration goes to Sandra Boynton. Sandra’s career began in greeting cards and then into children’s board books. She’s also produced four albums based on her children’s books. She was honored with this year’s NCS Milton Caniff Lifetime Achievement Award.

David Silverman wins Animation Feature Award

This year’s NCS division award for Animated feature goes to David Silverman for his work on The Simpsons Movie. David was the director of The Simpsons movie as well as The Road to Eldorado and worked on Pixar’s Monster’s Inc.

Stephen Silver win Television Animation Award

Stephen Silver has been awarded this year’s Television Animation division Award for his work on the television show Kim Possible. Currently Stephen is a character designer at Disney Television Animation and has done work for Warner Bros and Columbia Tristar.
