If you’ve been reading Girls and Sports lately, you’ve noticed that Andrew Feinstein and Justin Borus have added a baby and a puppy to their feature to poke fun at comic polls that seem to indicate that features with these characters tend to perform well.

Marcus Hamilton recently spoke at the Scholastic Art Awards Ceremony in North Carolina. His speech centered on his career as a cartoonist and the serendipitous moment when he was invited to take over on Hank Ketcham’s Dennis the Menace feature in 1995. His speech was received with a standing ovation.
From the Comic Rack is a tidbit that The Complete Dick Tracy volumes that were origninally planned to roll out every quarter have been rescheduled to roll out every twice a year. The first volume was released in October by IDW.
Pulitzer Prize winning editorial cartoonist Ann Telnaes has posted her first animated editorial cartoon on her web site. The flash piece runs about less than a minute and uses actual audio from President Bush as opposed to other editorial cartoon animators who use their own voices.Hat tip: E&P

Stacy Curtis, the ousted editorial cartoonist – now children’s book illustrator has started up a blog with Wes Hargis (artist for the former Franklin Fibbs/Little Fibbs feature) and Ted Dawson, (creator of former Spooner feature).
