Madam & Eve is so often based on South African politics that it's a bit like xkcd in that you chuckle over the ones you get and shrug off the ones you don't.

However, with the World Cup being hosted there a mere month from now, I have a feeling the strip is about to go into a period of accessibility.

It’s now on the daily list — but I actually like having to think and maybe even do a little Googling to get a good laugh. Even found a reference to a tokoloshe in a collection of African American folk tales, and I wouldn’t have gone “What? Really?” if I hadn’t been an M&E reader.
