Comic Strip of the Day

CSotD: Time for some Winter Sports

Madam & Eve is so often based on South African politics that it's a bit like xkcd in that you chuckle over the ones you get and shrug off the ones you don't.

However, with the World Cup being hosted there a mere month from now, I have a feeling the strip is about to go into a period of accessibility.

Mike Peterson has posted his "Comic Strip of the Day" column every day since 2010. His opinions are his own, but we welcome comments either agreeing or in opposition.

  1. Hi Mike,
Thanks for the mentions of our Madam & Eve in your blog — glad you appreciate it (well, the ones that aren’t too obscure)
We’ve recently started posting a new, non-SA and non-political strip over at Gocomics’ Comicssherpa to see what response we get… it’s called BAD DOG http://www.gocomics.com/bad-dog … be keen to hear what you think.
Thanks – Rico, artist of M&E

  2. It’s now on the daily list — but I actually like having to think and maybe even do a little Googling to get a good laugh. Even found a reference to a tokoloshe in a collection of African American folk tales, and I wouldn’t have gone “What? Really?” if I hadn’t been an M&E reader.
