Calvin and Hobbes meet the Twilight Zone

Lio creator Mark Tatulli may not be the only cartoonist cornering the market on Calvin and Hobbes parodies. Currently making its way through the interwebs is a Calvin and Hobbes strip written as a Twilight Zone episode. The cartoonist, Timothy Lim (AKA “Ninjaink”) has several other Calvin and Hobbes works including this gruesome one (below).

CSotD: No, no, it’s over here …

A couple of days ago, I issued what turned out to be a false alarm for an upcoming flashback story over in “Heart of the City.” Oh well. I still love the feature. But now, to the rescue of the disappointed comes “Edge City,” which is providing a flashback story to help celebrate Hannukah. “Edge City” […]

CSotD: Hard times and harder

I don’t suppose the freeze on federal wages is more than a token gesture, but token gestures matter in a national emergency. The amount of scrap metal raised during those WWII homefront drives probably didn’t make that much of an actual difference to our production of tanks and ships, but getting people to make […]

Sunday’s Non Sequitur another jab at editors

Wily Miller took another not-so-subtle jab at newspaper editors and their over-sensitivity this last Sunday’s Non Sequitur. Taking a shot at editors isn’t exactly new for Wiley. Bill Amend interview about new Foxtrot collection

Universal Uclick editor John Glynn offers a serious but mostly not-so serious interview with Foxtrot creator Bill Amend regarding his newly released collection “The Best of FoxTrot” Did you ever consider letting newspapers run reruns of the dailies? Not really. I owed a lot of FoxTrot’s newspaper success to the retirements over the years of […]

New information on Murdoch’s The Daily

Last week I reported that Rupert Murdoch was working with Apple to create a new iPad newspaper called The Daily. A few more details have been reported about the venture – less about the app itself – but more about who’s involved. The New Yorker is reporting that Murdoch’s News Corp is investing $30 million […]
