Hogan’s Alley #25
Hogan’s Alley magazine is a print magazine “devoted to all forms of comics, vintage and contemporary!” Highly recommended.
Quicker than any of us subscribers would expect is the next issue of Hogan’s Alley being released this year.
Hogan’s Alley #25 features a career-spanning interview with Russell Myers, the creator behind Broom-Hilda and the man who is literally in the Guinness Book of World Records for the longest tenure on a comic strip (56 years and counting)! Speaking of witches in the comics, we count down the most powerful witches in the comics. The issue also takes a long look at Jeanie, the newspaper strip written by Selma Diamond, who was also the bailiff on TV’s Night Court, and presents a never-reprinted sequence from the strip. Readers will also learn about the amazing life and adventures of Nedra Harrison, the beautiful and adventuresome woman who was the model for Milton Caniff’s iconic Dragon Lady in Terry and the Pirates. And if you think that paper dolls in the comics didn’t have anything to do with the WWII effort, prepare to change your mind. Hogan’s Alley #25 has all this and more!

NEMO, the classic comics library
NEMO: the classic comics library Volume 2, number 1 remains in limbo.
It has been nearly a decade since we were told that one of the greatest comic magazine was being revived. John Adcock’s death in 2024 seriously setback those comeback efforts.
Will we ever see NEMO 2.0?
