CSotD: Stalking the wild grizzlies of suburban DC

Cul

There are many things I like about Cul de Sac, but high on the list is the way Alice and her cohorts can come up with some random association and elevate it to center stage. Alice has decided that, since camp likely involves nature study, there will certainly be fish-slapping bears and she will, no doubt, be able to capture one and bring it home.

All children should learn to set goals.

Mind you, as a multi-year veteran of summer camp, I just want to say that the presence of fish-slapping bears would have made up for a whole lot.

Mike Peterson has posted his "Comic Strip of the Day" column every day since 2010. His opinions are his own, but we welcome comments either agreeing or in opposition.

  1. And that’s a good question. Why isn’t there a Camp Doldrums?

  2. Wait. You went to summer camp when you already lived in a place loaded with nature? You could have gone to the Cranberry Lake dump to see bears! :0)
