CSotD: A wafer-thin slice of jellyfish casserole

Shermans_Lagoon

Jim Toomey has a way of combining throwaway lines and great timing that keeps me amused even during unspectacular story arcs in Sherman's Lagoon. The current arc has been rather good: A deadly jellyfish comes into the lagoon and terrifies everyone until Filmore remembers that turtles eat jellyfish. Is this the end of the arc? Toomey is not a slave to the calendar, so there's really no telling, which is another quality of the strip that appeals to me: If he's got another gag, we'll see it. If not, we'll move on.

Not only are there lots of Sherman's Lagoon compilations available, but there's even … I'm not making this up … a musical.
