Bruce Plante takes Tulsa World opening

Chattanooga Times editorial cartoonist Bruce Plante will be leaving the paper to go to Tulsa Oklahoma to be the new editorial cartoonist at the Tulsa World. Bruce has been with the Chattanooga Times since 1985 and will be replacing the late Doug Marlette who died earlier this year in a car accident.

The Norm to go mobile

Michael Jantze’s The Norm will soon be available on GoComic’s mobile line-up. The offerings include the comics, new weekly mobile chapters as well as wallpapers. The Norm was first syndicated in 1996 through 2004 when Michael opted to take his feature exclusively to the web.

Peanuts specials to be distributed by Warner Home Video

According to Hollywood Reporter, Warner Home Video has become the exclusive worldwide home video distributor of over 50 Peanuts specials. Borgman, Coverly, Boldman to panel book festival

Jim Borgman, Dave Coverly and Craig Boldman will all be panelists at the “Books by the Banks” book festival in November. This is a first time event for the festival and the three cartoonists will panel a discussion entitled “So, You Draw Cartoons for a Living.” The festival is on the 3rd of November.
