Magazine cartoonist Tom Wuthrich, Who signed as “SWISS,” has passed away.

From the obituary:

Tom was a talented Cartoonist, and was also known by his pen name, “Swiss” of Swisstoons.

Tom Wuthrich began writing gags for greeting cards in 1972 and then was a gag writer for cartoonists beginning in 1976. In 1979/80 he began his career as a freelance cartoonist contributing to Good Housekeeping, Penthouse, Highlights for Children, TV Guide, Hustler, New Woman, American Medical News, National Enquirer, Reader’s Digest, and others.

Tom Wuthrich (Swiss) is a gagwriter and cartoonist from Royal Oak, Michigan. He began writing gags for greeting card companies in the early 1970’s and shortly thereafter added cartoonists to his client list. With encouragement from some cartoonist friends, he began drawing his own gags.
