Philadelphia Inquirer Wants Your Ed/Op Cartoon

For an upcoming edition of the Inquirer’s Currents section, the paper’s Sunday opinion pages, we’re dedicating three full pages to editorial/political cartoons

… We’re interested in cartoons inspired by local Philadelphia news …

Cartoons can be either multi-panel or single panel. Our only strict criteria is that your cartoon highlights an opinion on a topical news issue. The cartoons will run in black and white in the Inquirer and in color on

As the Association of American Editorial Cartoonists says:

Granted, this is a one-off, but still—the Inquirer has a long history of supporting cartoonists (Tony Auth drew for them for 41 years), and this is a paying gig. During a year when publishers and chains have aggressively turned on their own cartoonists, this is a grand gesture.
