Did The Advertiser Mash Up Comics and Royal Weddings?

You may think Ginger Meggs is Australia’s favorite and longest running comic. But allegedly (fwiw, we have not been able to  independently confirm that this ran) the editors at The Advertiser in Adelaide, Australia thought it was a great way to describe England’s favorite engaged couple.
