CSotD: Let the fish-slapping begin!

Cul I'm generally more annoyed than amused by cartoons that reinforce city views of rural life, and particularly those that portray getting out into nature as one of the worst things parents can do to their children. But that's very different than Cul de Sac's depiction of urban kids out in the uncharted wilds of Bethesda or wherever this exotic field trip is taking place.

Besides, I've become as obsessed with fish-slapping bears as Alice is. Bring'em on!

I guess many cartoonists had parents who sent them to summer camp every year and their only memories of it involve extreme dread and discomfort. Richard Thompson, however, doesn’t seem to be one of these.
