CSotD: Since you asked …

A comment on yesterday’s Reubens posting noted that webcomics don’t have an awards category. As I noted in my reply, the wall between syndicated cartoonists and web cartoonists seems to be breaking down.I went down to Boston yesterday for the grand finale of John Read’s “One Fine Sunday in the Funny Pages” traveling exhibit and […]

Despite the lag between deadline and publishing date, both Mark Tatulli of “Heart of the City” and Wiley Miller of “Non Sequitur” managed to make stunningly spot-on predictions about the Reubens, which were held last night in Boston.   This is kind of inside-baseball humor, but, in both cases, they kept it generic enough for a […]

Matt Bors raises an old issue with all sorts of new implications.Victims of sexual assault have always faced the daunting prospect of proving a crime took place. Barring bruising, scratches and other signs of a physical fight, much of the evidence is based on an interaction often conducted without third party witnesses. In this case, while […]

CSotD: Age is just a three-letter word

Cartoonist Jeff Danziger (68) with a salute to Bob Dylan which I assume editors got in time to run yesterday though it only went on-line this morning.A college friend noted the landmark on Facebook and I remarked that, the funny thing is, it doesn’t seem that old to me anymore. And another from that cohort […]
