MSNBC editorial cartoonist Daryl Cagle will be lecturing at Wabash College (men’s college in Crawfordsville, IN) where he will give a speech entitled “Being an Editorial Cartoonist: Everyone Wants to Kill Me and You May Too!” on September 28th. Daryl is also scheduled to speak visit the poli-sci department and meet with the school’s editorial cartoonist.
E&P has reported that Doonesbury creator Garry Trudeau will speak as part of the UCLA Live series on October 25th.

Tony Cochran, creator of Agnes will be the next guest cartoonist on the Washington Post’s Meet the Artist chat session. Agnes is in a eight week tryout with the Post and that is the topic of the conversation.Â
Glenn McCoy will be a featured speaker at the Missouri Press Association’s annual convention this September 15th. He’ll talk about the art of editorial cartooning. Glenn produced editorial cartoons that are syndicated through Universal Press as well as the creator of The Duplex and co-creator of The Flying McCoys which he produces with his brother Gary.
Phi Frank, who draws Farley, one of the few local comic strips left in the U.S., will be the featured speaker at the Yosemite Association’s 31st annual member’s meeting on September 9th at the Pioneer Yosemite History Center in Wawona, Yosemite National Park. He will also be on hand to sign books and sell original drawings.
According to E&P, several cartoonists will be on hand at the sixth annual “Toonfest” on September 15-16 in Marceline MO.

Baldo co-creator Carlos Castellano will be appearing at the Florida Super-Con this upcoming November 3rd through 5th. This year’s show includes a Superman tribute and features several actors for the Superman movies, television shows, and Superboy shows.

Guy Gilchrist’s Cartoonist’s Academy will be hosting a fund-raiser for Operation First Response which helps families of soldiers wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan. According to E&P, the event is scheduled for July 25th in Simsbury, CT and will include other cartoonists such as Frank McLaughlin and Mike Lynch. Guy is the co-creator of Nancy.`
E&P reports that this Friday Pajama Diaries cartoonist Terri Libenson is scheduled to take part in the Washington Post’s live chat this Friday at 1 p.m. eastern time.
