38th Annual Rotary Cartoon Awards – The Winners

The 38th Rotary Cartoon Awards were held Saturday night at the National Cartoon Gallery located in Coffs Harbour, New South Wales. The National Cartoon Gallery announced the winners on their Facebook account.
The winners:
Peter Player’s ‘At the Museum’ won the Rotary Cartoon Award’s Cartoon of the Year.
Pat Hudson won the Politics category with ‘Truth,’ while Harry Bruce took the Merit Award in that division with ‘Great Quotes of American Presidents.’
David Rowe’s ‘Redhead’ won the Caricature division, ‘Prince Charles and Andrew’ by Harry Bruce merited.
Comic Strip category was won by Ian Jones with ‘Shortened Lifespan. Merit: Phil Day with ‘Scarecrow’.
The Sports Cart winner was Mark Lynch with ‘Enhanced Games.’ Phil Day’s ‘The Sportsman’ merited.
The Special Category theme this year was ‘In The Future’ and Tony Lopes won with ‘AI Family Planning.’ Peter Player’s ‘At the Museum’ got a Merit Award here to join his Cartoon of the Year award.
‘New Hobbies’ by Jed Dunstan won the Framing Room Prize.
