I had no idea this existed until a friend pointed it out to me earlier this week. In the final issue of his 30-issue, three-year run writing Captain America, the brilliant author Ta-Nehisi Coates has Sharon Carter mention a certain cartoonist to Cap.
Cartoonist Paul Noth is rightfully proud that he and one of his famous cartoons made it into a Marvel comic.

Delayed Gratification

A number of comics issues have had their release dates pushed after a truck carrying the comics to a distribution center was involved in an accident Friday.
In a post to social media, IDW Publishing announced Friday that a truck carrying issues from four series to a distribution center experienced some sort of crash that damaged the shipment.
“A truck carrying several of our comics was involved in an accident while en route to distribution,” the post reads. “Most importantly: no one was hurt. The comics, however, were not so lucky. They were pretty thoroughly decimated by the forest.”
Too Much Magic Bus

The White House is facing criticism after sharing a “Magic Deportation Bus” image styled after the children’s educational series The Magic School Bus while promoting Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrests, in the latest example of the Trump administration using popular culture to advance its immigration message.
The post, published on Monday on the official White House account, referenced the show’s famous “Please let this be a normal field trip…” catchphrase and linked to a report highlighting a recent ICE operation in the Washington, D.C., region…
So unbelievably demented Snopes was asked to confirm it.
Portrait of British Comics Legends

Over on the indispensable John M. Burns Art Group on Facebook, archivist Colin Brown has posted a wonderful art tribute by the late 2000AD artist to some legendary British comic artists, which went through some changes in its creation.
Years ago, John was commissioned to paint a montage featuring himself and other veteran British artists, and has now unearthed the pencils, revealing a change in the lineup for the final art.
