“I’ve always been a fan of Bushmiller. I compare Ernie Bushmiller to Jerry Lewis,” Gammill says. “It’s very easy to point at some of his stuff and say ‘this is terrible,’ and you can point to a lot stuff with Ernie’s name on it and say ‘it’s terrible,’ but just dig a little deeper and there’s stuff that is undeniably hilarious.”

Gammill, whose TV writing credits including Saturday Night Live, Seinfeld, and The Simpsons, and creator of the webcomic The Doozies, takes on the role of Bushmiller. Comedian Lauren Servideo will take on nine-different roles such as Ernie’s wife, a hippy, a college kid, and a syndicate editor from 1976.
