Coyote vs. Acme Trailers 2

As a child and youth Warner Brothers cartoons of the 30s and 40s and 50s were a staple of my TV viewing, so I have an understandable nostalgia for the the characters and a bit of a fondness for the subsequent reiterations, at least the better ones (Tiny Toons comes to mind).

Not a big fan of the mixing of animation with real life actors but the forthcoming Coyote vs. Acme seems (all we have are the trailers to go on) to keep the zaniness and, like the Marvel movies, it is a pleasure to see multiple characters from my childhood pop up.

Warner Bros. has released the second trailer for the Coyote vs. Acme movie, “the final trailer.”

After enduring years of catastrophic product failures at the hands of ACME, Inc., a tenacious, unemployed coyote uncovers a corporate cover-up and spearheads an unhinged battle against the multinational conglomerate that’s been blowing him up in the name of profit. Also, there’s a roadrunner. And dynamite.

  2. In “real” life, Obnoxious Orange would attack Wiley. “He’s a socialist democrat trying to tear down a great American business. Acme is a job-producer that likes me hugely. Everybody says his family helps illegals enter our country. He tries to kill innocent endangered roadrunners. Are they endangered? Anyway, I’m having him deported as a Mexican coyote.”
    At this point, this stuff writes itself.

  3. Roadrunners can run up to about 20 to 26 mph, while a coyote can run up to 43 mph. Our entire childhood was a LIE.

    And Acme’s fault!

  4. Would’a been fun if they’d used Wile. E.’s voice like they did in the Bugs vs. Coyote ‘toon.

    “Allow me to introduce myself, Wile E. Coyote, Sooper Genius.” 🙂

  5. This should have come out two years ago, but Warner’s decided that they hated cartoons and officially buried it. The story is galling, but with a happy ending.
