Four Signed Cartoonists in One Week – Believe It or Not

While I haven’t delved deeply into the history books I do think that the past seven days saw a record.
Within a week, six days actually, four different cartoonists signed the Ripley’s Believe It or Not cartoon feature. For June 1-4, 2026 there was the mononymous DeJoy signing the panel. June 5-6, 2026 saw the also uninymous Aquino sign the feature. Then with the June 7, 2026 Sunday there was the rerun from 2023 with (Kieran) Castaño‘s signature. Back to Aquino for Monday June 8, 2026. And today, June 9, 2026, there is a brand new signature as Howie Noel joins the team signing “HC Noel.” We’ve met Howie before.
Four different signed cartoonists from June 4 to June 9, 2026! Must be a record.
This is naturally discounting the panels that were specifically created to host a rotating roster every day such as King Features’ The New Breed and their Laff-A-Day, McNaught’s This Funny World, PM’s Crackups, and others similarly featuring a who’s who of gag cartoonists.
Now the question is has Ripley’s finally settled on a permanent cartoonist or is Noel one of a triumvirate?
