Anthony Haden-Guest Sues to Get His Cartoons Back

Peter Senzamici reports for The New York Post that cartoonist Anthony Haden-Guest wants his art back:

High society art critic Anthony Haden-Guest is throwing the sketchbook — and a massive lawsuit — at jet-setting fashionista Libbie Mugrabi, accusing her of holding nearly 100 of his cartoons and scribbles hostage in her Southampton estate.

The legendary 89-year-old British-American art critic and cartoonist filed a Manhattan Supreme Court complaint, demanding the immediate return of 97 “original drawings and cartoons” he claims Mugrabi has been “wrongfully” displaying on her walls for 15 years…

MAD King Compares Democrat to Alfred E. Neuman (Again)

Fox News carries the story by Greg Norman-Diamond and Paul Steinhauser:

President Donald Trump compared Democrat Texas Senate nominee James Talarico to MAD Magazine mascot Alfred E. Neuman on Wednesday while separately vowing to campaign for his Republican rival, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton.

“His opponent, Alfred E. Neuman, may be the worst TEXAS candidate I have ever seen,” Trump then said about Talarico, a state representative.

Not the first time the elder politician has compared a young democrat to the MAD magazine mascot.

Asked about Trump’s put-down by POLITICO in San Francisco on Friday, the 37-year-old Buttigieg professed ignorance about the comic book character, whose fame peaked more than 20 years ago, while making a veiled reference to the 72-year-old Trump’s seniority.
