Mo Willems to Receive Honorary Doctorate, Offer Commencement Address

Speaking of commencement address speakers, Colby College has announced that Mo Willems will be their commencement speaker and receive an honorary doctorate in fine arts.
Mo is an award-winning author, illustrator, and animator. He’s published over 70 children’s books with more than 50 being New York Times best sellers. He’s an Eisner Award Winner and twice winner of the Theodor Seuss Geisel Award. He has six Emmy Awards for his writing on Sesame Street where he began his career.
Commencement ceremonies will be held May 24, 2026.
