Street Scene by Jonny Hawkins – New Comic

News comes from Rachel DeSchepper at GoComics that they have added a new comic panel.

Street Scene is by long-time cartoonist Jonny Hawkins.

Hawkins, who’s been freelancing since 1986 and has drawn more than 50,000 cartoons, already creates another comic, “Zoolies,” for Tribune Content Agency. But “Street Scene” is personal in a different way—it captures how he felt when moving from country Michigan to city life. “I was overwhelmed … but, in awe,” Hawkins says.

a completely silent, single-panel comic [emphasis added]…

Jonny has taken his wildlife creatures from Zoolies and transformed them into citylife creatures in Street Scene – just animals of a different kind in a different environment.

The Street Scene archives at GoComics go back to August 16, 2025.

I am continually upset that nearly four years after signing to syndicate Hawkins’ Zoolies it still has not been added to the Tribune Content Agency’s comics page.

  1. Even though this is a new comic in 2025, with 1 month to go in 2025 we haven’t saw the announcement of a newspaper comic ending in 2025, it looks like 2025 could be it.

  2. I’ve got Candorville, Scary Gary, and Francis (replaced by The Leo Chronicles) ending in 2025.

    1. OOPS! Sorry I forgot there were 3 that ended in 2025.
