Biographic Biodegraded? update

Here’s a couple screenshots from the GoComics portal on newspaper websites:

Yeah The Oregonian is missing the Biographic title and graphic. But neither that paper nor The New York Daily News updated Biographic this past Sunday (November 2, 2025). The last Biographic feature on the newspaper websites was for October 26, 2025.

Biographic by Steve McGarry – October 26, 2025

The Daily Cartoonist reached out to cartoonist Steve McGarry, he replied that he is still creating the feature.

We have feelers out to to see if the comic ran in Sunday’s November 2 New York Daily News, the only newspaper we are aware that runs the Sunday feature. We have not heard back from those inquiries, so now we are asking our readers if any of them get The Daily News, or any newspaper that carries Biographic, if they saw a November 2, 2025 issue.

Newspapers.com has a four week delay until we see the November 2 New York Daily News, while Andrews McMeel has a two week delay. I’m too impatient to wait for either one to catch up.

Yes, it is remains on Andrews McMeel Syndication’s list of available features.

A Reminder:Reply All Lite for Sundays no longer appears on the GoComics newspaper portal but continues to appear in The Washington Post, so this is not a sign that Biographic is no longer syndicated.

Update:

Doc Vassallo, who runs Facebook’s The New York Sunday News Comics History Group has responded:

Biographic by Steve McGarry – November 2, 2025

The New York Daily News carried Biographic this past Sunday!

So why is GoComics’ newspaper not updating Biographic? Or the Sunday Reply All Lite for that matter?

  1. GoComics has had repeated problems updating a number of features at the beginning of each month. For instance, check the comments for “Back to B.C.” and “Wizard of Id Classics” for September 30th and October 31st (the complaints pile up on the last day of each preceding month). For both of those features, it can take anywhere from 3 to 6 days before the jam clears and GoComics restores the missing strips.

There are probably many other strips affected by this incessant problem, but since GoComics removed their most valuable feature (dialog search) and placed all of their archives behind a paywall, I have ceased using their website for any strips that are available from less mercenary websites, such as Arcamax.com/comics

  2. Sorry, folks… in the case of Back to BC and Wizard of Id Classics, it’s completely MY fault! I have to be reminded by the nice folks at GoComics near the end of every month… Sorry! I’ll work harder on that!
