The National Cartoonist Society will be celebrating their 79th Annual Conference and Reuben Awards in two weeks on August 14 and 15, 2025 (with a little wrapping up on the 16th) in Boston, Massachusetts.
The biggest part of the “weekend” is the awards which will be handed out on Friday night, the 15th.
There be a handful of special awards handed out to cartoonists John Kovaleski, Chance & Chris Browne, Art Spiegelman, Sy Barry, and Samantha Huyck and Abby McColgan.
Recently KELO-TV profiled Chris Browne and talked to cartoonists Ken Alvine and Hector Curriel, local
colleagues to Chris, about their much missed friend.
Then the Reuben banquet will present a dozen Divisional Awards in a variety of categories.
And capping off the night with presenting THE Reuben Award to The 2024 Cartoonist of the Year.
