Essentials is a series from IDW Publishing through their Library of American Comics imprint. These books are 4.4 inches high and 11.5 inches long and ?1.2 inches thick, printing one daily strip per page. The books more or less cover an entire year.

Of course, it goes without saying that you should get the Alley Oop one! After 1939 it all went downhill anyway :-)
