Friend of the Blog Ann Telnaes won the Reuben last night, or, more precisely, "the Reuben Award for Outstanding Cartoonist of the Year." (The other awards are technically not "Reubens" though they all get called that.)

And she deserved it. And, yes, I'm prejudiced.

And isn't it nice when personal prejudice is backed up by outrageously good work?

Other names on the award list familiar to CSotD regulars are Mike Luckovich, Dave Whamond and David Rowe.

Here are the full particulars. (Some of those names will also be familiar, particularly Lynda Barry, who was given a lifetime achievement award.)
