I'm still on the road; we'll go live again tomorrow. Meanwhile, here are the funnies from this date in 1941. I have to admit, I hadn't heard of all of them, and I would point out that a lot of these assume that readers were there yesterday and will be back tomorrow.

(The black splotchs on this Popeye are from too much ink on the rubber mat of the graphic piece.)

(Mickey not only has ink blotches, but parallel marks on the right edge from the grippers that stretch and guide the paper through the press)

(JR Williams did a lot of cartoons in the machine shop during the war, and, I gather, some leading up to it, too)
