Sometimes stupid is what you wanted, and today's Sherman's Lagoon is a really stupid comic strip that gave me a chance to write a really stupid headline.

It was a near thing. Given the purported location of Sherman's Lagoon, it would perhaps be more logical to suspend the fan from a dugong rather than a manatee, although the habitual downtilt of the dugong would create a problem.

The manatee tends to be more uptilted and is thus a better choice for hanging a ceiling fan from.

Oh, not a correction. As stated, the dugong would definitely have the wrong feng shui. It has to be a manatee.
Though it does provide a nice earworm: “I met him on a Monday and my heart stood still, the dugong gong gong, the dugong gong.”
