Wow, I waited through a 24-second ad just to be greeted by a message that reads, “Bad News – Videos are only available in the United States. Sorry.”

I want those 24-seconds back!!

Give it a couple hours and you’ll be able to download it illegally off of Bit Torrent. :(

Wow… uh… scratch that last comment. Let me save you some time. Unless your eight years old yet also possess the pop culture awareness of a college student you probably won’t enjoy this. Even the Spy Vs. Spy was terrible.

I’m not sure what target audience this is being made for…. but it isn’t me. So maybe I shouldn’t be reviewing it. I don’t know. But Robot Chicken… on the same network and covering much of the same material is far funnier.

The Wolverine bit was the only one that even got me to crack a smile and it was more wistful than amused.

If they’re going for the same audience as Mad TV and Robot Chicken they may want to rework their writing staff. If they are just trying to bring the magazine to life in animation then I suppose they’ve accomplished some of that. Not any of the parts I used to find funny when I read Mad as a kid. But you can see the similarities. I don’t know if that will transfer into a large viewership though.

Good luck to them. If they come out with another episode I’ll give them another shot or two. Maybe it gets better.

Funny how the ad is viewable, though, huh? (Well, funny in a roll-of-the-eyes kind of way.) You was robbed. Unless you listen to Rob, that is… in which case it sounds like you was only somewhat robbed.

Why would it be only available in the United States? That doesn’t make much sense…they didn’t restrict the ad did they?? :-)

I don’t even get to see any advertising. If the page loads at all for me it just gets stuck on a “loading” bar.

Whee. Viva la CN!
