Comic Strip of the Day

CSotD: Works for me

Lockhorns

I was at one place that put in "casual Friday" and then had to issue a memo a few weeks later, explaining the difference between "casual" and "looking like you're going out to change the oil in the tractor" or "dressed like a streetwalker in a heat wave."

Apparently, they were in favor of #1 and not so keen on #2 and #3.

But I like Leroy's approach in today's Lockhorns. I'd have kicked in a buck for charity if that was how it worked.

(Incidentally, I once did a comic survey and expected Lockhorns to score well with the old-timers and badly with younger readers. Results were a surprise. If you've never paused to consider just what goes into a popular mainstream panel like the Lockhorns, here's an interview with Bunny Hoest. I would add that she was one of the two or three cartoonists I interviewed who was funny in person, too. She's a hoot.)
