The Toronto Sun is reporting that their longtime editorial cartoonist has died a week after he retired.
The Toronto Sun family is in mourning after legendary political cartoonist Andy Donato died Tuesday. He was 89.
The newly retired Donato drew his last cartoon for the Sun as a farewell to readers on Sept. 6 after 55 incredible years at the newspaper, and 65 years in the newspaper industry.
The Daily Cartoonist ran a tribute to Donato on the occasion of his retirement earlier this month and there is not much we can add to that recent entry.
We extend our sympathies to his family and friends.
