2026 Summit of Association of Canadian Cartoonists Is Low-Key

The Association of Canadian Cartoonists (ACC) has announced the dates of its 2026 convention, a gathering it is calling “a popup mini congress.”

The poster for the event states it will be a “no frills” friendly gathering of cartoonists.

The assemblage will take place a week after the AAEC convention at the gateway to “Lake America.”

From the Association of American Editorial Cartoonists notification:

The Association of Canadian Cartoonists is hosting a “popup mini commando-style congress” September 25-26 in Niagara Falls, Ontario, and you’re invited. Just days after the AAEC convention in Sacramento, the ACC will have a “very chilled gathering,” according to ACC president Wes Tyrell.

“I think this is something we all need right now,” Tyrell added.

  1. My heartiest appreciation and encouragement to our valiant Northern Neighbors!

  2. I hope they’ll welcome an editorial cartoonist just across the Niagara River.

  3. I am not a cartoonist but I live beside Niagara Falls Ontario. You will be very welcome, as long as you don’t want to make us the 51st state! 🙂
And, of course the gathering will be low-key—we’re Canadians, that’s what we do.

  4. It’s time for we American cartoonists to crank up the volume in support of our northern colleagues and friends. Canada is home to some of the best (ever) in the field.

  5. We will meet in Niagara Falls on Lake Ontario. I never heard of that other name.
