Today, however, Larson’s future looks much different from what fans anticipated in the ’90s. In 2019, The Far Side website was completely redesigned, announcing a new era of The Far Side returning. It was an exciting surprise for fans to learn that Larson would be returning to the strip, revitalizing it digitally, and releasing new panels on his website for fans to read. Nowadays, Larson works on The Far Side online, creating a new era of fans who absolutely love the comic strip series.

Since Gary Larson (very) infrequently posts a new cartoon to The Far Side website’s New Stuff section I eagerly went there without bothering to read the article, but it was a misdirect. Gary Larson’s tribute to Jane Goodall remains the newest of the New Stuff.
The Collider article notes that after some weeks on pause The Far Side was once more posting old panels.
