Boligan, Tsuranova, Ahmadi Win International Caricature and Cartoon Contest

The Museum of Caricature and Cartoon of Vianden, Luxembourg has announced the winners of their annual International Caricature and Cartoon Contest of Vianden 2026. Taking the top prizes are Angel Boligan (Mexico) with second and third place going to Olena Tsuranova (Ukraine) and Heibat Ahmadi (Iran) respectively.
This year’s theme was “Democracy (popular sovereignty, rule of law, free elections, separation of powers, pluralism)”. The top three winners will take home a tidy cash price of €1,500, €1,000, and €500 for first, second and third place.
Honorable mentions include: Mikhael Zlatkovsky (Russia), Georgopalis Dimitris (Greece), Zygmunt Zaradkiewicz (Poland), Ömer Çam (Turkey), Cai Wei Bin (China),
The International Caricature and Cartoon Contest of Vianden has been given out since 2008 by the Museum of Caricature and Cartoon of Vianden.
