Bonil Begins Cartooning for Primicias

Three weeks after announcing his retirement from Diario El Universo, Xavier Bonilla (Bonil) has announced he has a new role as the editorial cartoonist for Primicias creating three cartoons a week—one of which will be a cartoon in video format.

Bonil isn’t new to animation. He tells The Daily Cartoonist that he created a traditional animation feature for a Sunday TV newscast in the early 1990s. The difference now is his use of Procreate to create video along with other video editing apps. He also believes if his videos are well received that he will be creating more video content in the future.
