Bill Holbrook is incredibly prolific, with three different daily strips going, two (On the Fastrack and Safe Havens) in syndication and one (Kevin and Kell) on-line.
Fastrack is the geeky one and, as I struggle with a new computer, this gag rings just as true as it did in 2007. Yes, I know I can probably tinker around with preferences until the damn thing does what I want. But each browser finds new ways to play Hide The Download and I never think to tinker with it except when I'm in the middle of something and don't have time.
I've also discovered that it's harder to find files when the "Restore Files" application didn't, in fact, restore all the files. It's hard enough to find the things that ARE there, never mind the ones that aren't.
Fortunately, my old computer wasn't fried, so I've been playing the game where you have both computers going and you swap the thumb drive back and forth between them, and then when it points out the duplicated files and asks you what you want to do, you have to remember to hit "Do This For The Next 2,138 Files."
There's nothing more humiliating than finally stumbling onto the hidey-hole for downloaded files and finding you have to delete a bunch of files that have (1), (2) or (3) after their names because you've been behaving like this:
