Just a few sites today but nearly a score of editorial cartoonists represent.

The Everett (Wash) Herald is splitting their best ofs into four parts pretty much following the seasons. 2025’s Best Editorial Cartoons, January through March (or here) and 2025’s Best Editorial Cartoons, April through June (or here) with an all-star cast of Cagle political cartoonists: John Darkow, R.J.   1. Unfortunately, all that European readers can get from the Everett Herald is a “403 Forbidden” error.

    1. The Winnipeg Free Press is kind enough to replace the 403 message with a landing page, but misplaces the blame for the error: “GDPR … made our site unavailable to non-subscribers in most European countries“. This is of course bull$#!+: the paper’s website has consciously chosen to ignore the GDPR requirements, but they are kind enough to provide an alternative: “Ask a friend to mail you a newspaper, which we guarantee to be compliant with the requirements outlined in GDPR“. Ha ha, very funny.

      1. I have provided alternate routes to those destinations for our European friends.

      2. Oh well, at least it was worth a try. The archival system seems to have duplicated the front page perfectly, but the “gallery” script is missing. The result is that the archived version shows only the first comic, and doesn’t have a way to proceed to the next image.
