Henry Barajas New NCS L.A. Chapter Prez and the Reuben Divisional Awards Deadline

HENRY BARAJAS VOLUNTEERS AS PRESIDENT OF THE LOS ANGELES CHAPTER OF THE NATIONAL CARTOONISTS SOCIETY

Los Angeles, CA – Thursday, 02/01/2024 — The Los Angeles Chapter of the National Cartoonists Society is proud to announce the appointment of Henry Barajas as its new Chapter Chair, effective immediately.

“The Los Angeles Chapter of the National Cartoonists Society has an incredible legacy,” former Chapter Chair Kevin Segall said. “I’m so excited to see what we do as Henry Barajas leads us into our next era!”

With an illustrious career in comic book publishing and the current writer of Gil Thorp, Barajas brings a wealth of experience and passion to this leadership role.

The National Cartoonists Society announces its annual call for entries for consideration for the 78th NCS Divisional Reuben Awards, recognizing excellence in professional cartooning for work published in 2023.  Submission Guidelines and online entry form can be found at https://nationalcartoonists.com/awards/guidelines/

You do not have to be a member of the NCS to enter.

There is no fee for submissions.

Only work FIRST published between January 1, 2023, and December 31, 2023, can be considered.

SUBMISSIONS MUST COMPLETED BY FEBRUARY 7, 2024
