Stopped at the grocery store on the way back from the dog park tonight. There it was 5:30 at night, and there were people crowded around a little table to buy bunches of flowers and others — young, old, men, women — standing in the greeting card aisle, staring at the Valentine section in hopes of inspiration.

The whole last-minute ticket-punch quality of it all made me think of Margaret Shulock's contribution to Six Chix this morning, and I laffed again.
