Phil Dunlap has been doing little character profiles for his Ink Pen crew from time to time, and I don't have any doubt that they are fillers, for which purpose they are better than just throwing in a lame joke, but, on the other hand, it's hard to consider any of them a potential "Comic Strip of the Day."
Except.
Jenn Erica is one of the great comic strip characters with one of the great comic strip character names and this seems like the perfect opportunity to point that out.
Ink Pen is about a group of cartoon characters who all use the services of a very mediocre talent agency, and, if the setting were real, Jenn Erica would be constantly working. If you look around the comic page at the number of bland, one-dimensional female characters out there, you'll see that her opportunities would be limitless.
And if she ever popped out into three dimensions, she could get TV work on a sit com as the inexplicably hot wife of the schlub whose name is in the title. No shortage of those roles, either.
Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Jenn Erica.
