I like being lured along with three panels of intelligent commentary, then dropped by a punchline in the fourth panel. I particularly like it in a case like today's Doonesbury, where the punchline is a splash of ice cold water.

Would applying common sense solutions work in the chaos that is Afghanistan? And, as long as we're asking questions here, why is it that, whenever I see Ahmed Karzai lately, I can't help but wonder if Madame Nhu is hanging around somewhere nearby?
