Comic Strip of the Day

CSotD: Sunday Classic — Arlo and Janis, December 28, 1999

Having been a business writer, I both laughed at and admired this "Arlo and Janis" when it ran more than a decade ago. Today, it's even more obvious that we were cruising along on stuff that nobody could explain because they didn't really understand it themselves. In fact, in this Frontline program, one of Bernie Madoff's erstwhile partners admits that he didn't know how it all worked, but, since he was seeing profits, he kept directing clients into Madoff's programs. It's funnier when a cartoon character makes the joke and nobody's life savings are on the table, I guess.

Jimmy Johnson hasn't put out an A&J collection in years and the old one has become rare. However, he does run a favorite strip on his blog, which he updates regularly.  It's well worth a bookmark.
