Sometimes the best laugh is over a
joke so silly that you can't help snickering. But it's easy to ruin a silly
joke, and even a one-panel gag contains an element of timing — This one
wouldn't work if it showed people reacting to the signs. John Deering's Strange Brew does a nice job of not
overplaying a very simple, very dumb gag. And I laughed.
